Start with a verb: build, compete, roleplay, explore or collect. Roblox contains experiences from different creators. Two anime-themed covers can hide opposite proposals: a football contest and combat progression. Choosing only by visual universe leaves out what will occupy your time.
Use three fields: action, what you repeatedly do; relationship, how you depend on other people; and continuity, what happens when you leave and return. A building game may appeal through design freedom; another through virtual earnings that fund expansion. “Playing with friends” can mean cooperation, competition or inventing a story without a scoreboard.
Example: your group wants to chat and invent a funny situation. Compare roleplay-focused Brookhaven with the shared work of Work at a Pizza Place. If nobody wants a job, fulfilling orders may not fit that moment. If everyone prefers a clear objective, an open social world may feel empty.
When exploring alone, find a candidate for your preferred action, check its creator and try its main loop. Afterwards ask: what did I do, what decision did I make and would I like to repeat it? This collection brings together different proposals to make comparison easier. Popularity can reveal candidates; it does not determine what you should enjoy.
