A useful first app turns a concrete situation into a verifiable result. “Organize my references so I can find them later” already guides decisions: store a title and link, search words and open a result. “Build a complete social network” still combines too many problems for a first deliverable.
The course case is Clear Collection: a personal collection of up to 100 links in this browser, with category, notes, favorites, editing, search and JSON backup. The completed project lets you try the result and ask AI for adaptations. Building with AI does not require the app to call AI during use; this example works without that.
Write one sentence: “When I find a reference, I want to save it with a note so I can recover why I chose it later.” Compare browser bookmarks or a spreadsheet: use them if they already meet the need. Building makes sense when you want a particular workflow and accept maintaining it. This course delivers a functional first personal app; collaboration and publishing require additional decisions explained later.
